Even Keel Wind
Even Keel Wind, an Invenergy project, is an American-led offshore wind development located off the Central Coast of California. The project builds on Invenergy’s proven track record of clean energy project development, American innovation, impactful community investment, and Tribal and stakeholder engagement to deliver renewable, reliable energy to California residents.
Even Keel Wind is vital to California’s goal of reaching 25 GW of offshore wind by 2045 and will be a significant contributor to the federal government’s clean energy goals. California’s energy needs are increasing, and offshore wind is the only technology that can provide renewable energy at a scale not achievable on land. There is an urgent need to advance responsibly developed offshore wind projects now, to meet Californians' energy needs in the future.
Invenergy became the official leaseholder of Even Keel Wind (formerly known as OCS-P 0565) in June of 2023, meaning the decade-long process of planning and developing the project has begun.
The lease doubled Invenergy’s offshore wind portfolio, expanding its footprint from the Atlantic to the Pacific Coast. Currently, Invenergy is the only American-led company developing a multi-project portfolio of offshore wind across U.S. coasts.
Invenergy is the largest, privately-held developer, owner and operator of sustainable energy solutions. A U.S. based company, Invenergy and its affiliated companies have successfully developed more than 30,000 megawatts of projects that are in operation, construction, or contracted, including wind, solar, transmission infrastructure, natural gas power generation and advanced energy storage projects. Its clean energy generation and storage facilities are located across Americas, Europe, and Asia.
